I serve women owned small businesses here at Madalyn Yates Creative. Together we create a strategic plan to bring heart & soul to your brand through storytelling photos & beyond.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hanging out in my office, sipping on a latte at local coffee shops, baking something delicious & traveling the world.

I'M MADALYN!

Holly & Tucker, oh where do I start? I met Holly through a previous senior session of mine and I am so glad Chandler introduced us! Holly not only is a super sweet, go with the flow kind of gal but she also works at a beautiful wedding and event venue here in Summerfeild, NC. It has been a venue I adored for a while and I am so pleased and excited to share more images from the session with y’all.  Oh, and Hollys fiance, Tucker is awesome and I loved watching them together and I am so excited to see how their next chapter unfolds. Welcome to Holly & Tucker’s Engagement session at Summerfield Farms!

For this session I really wanted to play around with different wardrobes and try a whole bunch of different feels. Through Rising Tide Society I connected with a wedding dress designer in Atlanta, GA called Adorn Bridal. I emailed the owner, Bekah and she shared the opportunity to rent this beautiful two piece wedding wardrobe and Holly looked beautiful wearing it! It brings a romantic feel to the photos and enables my eye to play around and have fun!

“Just like everyone else, our love story is my favorite by far, more so than The Notebook…

Everyday in class he would look at me and say “I love you Holly Summers”. I would laugh, roll my eyes and think to myself he must say that to every girl. We would pass in the crowded hallways and I would hear Tucker say “I love you Holly Summers!”. We graduated high school, he moved out west and I went to school at Appalachian State.

Four years later, I graduated college and he messaged me several times about his upcoming visits to NC. A mutual friend was getting married that August and he asked me to be his plus one. It was a week before he was to arrive back in our hometown and I told my roommate at the time I wasn’t sure I wanted to go because he had blonde hair and I hadn’t ever dated a guy with blonde hair. She laughed at me, told me how ridiculous I was and said to enjoy my weekend.

That I did, that weekend was the best weekend of my life! We fell in love dancing under the stars and reminiscing on all of our high school stories. He said do you remember I just to always say “I love you Holly Summers” and I said “yeah! I bet you said that to everyone.” He insisted that I was the only one he would say that to and how he always has had a special spot in his heart for me.

I dropped him off at the airport at the end of the weekend. He insisted he was coming back for me. 6 months later he packed all of his things in his truck and drove 2,200 miles across country to start our lives together. 2 months ago he asked me to his wife and spend the rest of our lives together.

Here I am today with the cutest blonde man there ever was. He empowers me, motivates me, and most importantly stands by me. I can’t wait to become his wife next year and continue growing stronger together and stronger through Christ. “

“I’ve met a lot of people in 25 years, none like her. She is the most encouraging, supportive, and caring woman that I’ve ever been around . She’s a glass half full with a shot of whiskey and wakes up smiling every morning. She lives for her family, I’m just the luckiest man I get to be part of it. I love her!”

The perks of being on a farm just showed up one after another but one of those that I thought was neat and different was the ability to be practically right on top of the cows and incorporate them into the photos! Definitely shows how fun Holly & Tucker are! And, look at their little pup, Gunner! He had so much fun being part of mom and dad’s engagement session!
