The ceremony was at First Baptist Church Greensboro was it was so beautiful. The decor was simple yet the love was strong. With the simple decor, the details that were chosen by Kelsey & Jacob were evident; from the colors they chose for their bridal party to the gorgeous natural light.
Instead of doing a first look, Kelsey & Jacob wrote letters for each other and then exchanged them while they were getting ready. Kelsey’s letters from Jacob were more than just a day of letter; they were letters from when Jacob was working in other states from over the past 5 years! How sweet is that. Talk about a narrative! He also bought Kelsey a sweet charm, lovely.
Now, one of my favorite parts of this beautiful day … Kelsey’s wedding gown! Dress designer, Madison James knows what her brides love and that is POCKETS! Pockets add a special touch to a gown as beautiful as Kelsey’s. Also — let’s talk about the top! The beading is GORGEOUS!
So I could be with the ladies while they were getting ready, I had a wonderful second photographer, Carrie who spent the afternoon with the guys. She captured some awesome portraits of Jacob getting ready as well as her groomsmen. Carrie & I have done one other wedding together and I look forward to many more in the future!
The guys got ready at Double Oaks Inn Bed & Breakfast which conveniently was right across the street from the church. It was also where Kelsey & Jacob retreated to after the reception as well as where we did some of Kelsey’s Bridals a few weeks before the wedding!
After the ceremony, we did the bridal party portraits and then I grabbed Kelsey & Jacob for their husband & wife portraits. HOLY COW! They are two of the most beautiful people. I mean, look at them! The way Jacob looks at Kelsey and the way she has her heart wrapped around him … It is truly inspiring!
