I can’t believe its been THREE years!!!

I can’t believe I am typing this out at 25 years old.

I’ve been a homeowner for THREE years!

If you know me I am really humble about being a homeowner but y’all it’s milestones like this that I am very proud of myself and grateful for the opportunity to be able to own a home & be self-employed.

If you would of asked me four years ago, if I imagined buying a house when I was 22, I honestly don’t know what I would of said. At the time, I had lived in apartments with roommates & then on my own so I was experienced in apartment living and to honest I wasn’t very excited about continuing when it was time to renew my lease. So, whenever I would drive around Greensboro, I often drove by this cute home on a hill. One week there would be a FOR SALE sign and the next it would be gone. This went on for a month and then one day I was talking to my mom, who recently had moved to Greensboro, and she said “Let’s ask Carol (my mom’s realtor & family friend) if she could set up a time for us to go look at it.” At first I thought she was crazy. But then a few days later, I was walking around the house imagining what it would be like to live in my OWN space & have the ability to do whatever I wanted and host lots of gatherings, guests, and no limit of how many pets I had! After a lot of emailing back and forth, meetings with Carol & a loan company, possibly some worry of whether or not I could really do this…..

On July 29th, 2016, I signed the papers, picked up the key & officially OWNED a house!
