As a wedding photographer, we have a hard time taking time to do self-care. If I’m honest, I feel like anyone in any profession has a hard time taking time for themselves. Time to relax, forget a schedule, and not worry about what’s happening next or when your next shoot is or worse worrying about an upcoming wedding day timeline! Personally, I have a hard time doing nothing. Not just photography related things, but just being constantly on the go! I like to move & I like to explore…
Almost three years ago, I went to Charleston, SC for a photographers workshop (read about it, here!) and met some amazing friends so it only made sense that we have a reunion and this year we chose NASHVILLE! I had never been before and I was so excited to explore the magical city with some of my closest gal-pals! Even though we were all wedding creatives, we purely organized this trip to RELAX & CATCH UP with one another! That also didn’t mean we wouldn’t have our cameras because well, duh! There was so much to see & explore in the Music City!
Our days started off by waking up in our cute AirBnb and then we ended up going out for coffee, hitting up the popular murals & eating delicious food! One day, we woke up and went to Gaylord Convention Center for some exploring and headshots! What a gorgeous backdrop for seriously anything!! When we were tired, we just went back to our AirBnb to chat and talk about anything & everything! It was so fun!
After returning home from this trip, I felt so good! It was a great intermission to a busy summer & upcoming Fall wedding season!
