Gorgeous Wedding Venues to Look Out for in 2020!

As a wedding photographer having multiple favorite venues is a plus! When a bride & groom are choosing their wedding venue, most of the time they aren’t thinking creatively but logistically. I mean, I have had a handful of couples say they chose their venue specially for the ability to have the gorgeous photographs but there are definitely some that value the logistics over the pretty.

Over the years though, venue owners have taken that into consideration and they are creative wedding venues that automatically are creatively pleasing so that the couples don’t even have to worry! The owners are taking in to consideration everything from the getting ready suites, the natural lighting, and creative rain plans (because we all know North Carolina weather is unpredictable!) all the way to photo worthy send-offs! They want to make sure you are overly excited and happy for where your special day will take place.

So without further ado, I am going to share my Top 4 Wedding Venues that are either opening in 2020 or have recently opened! These four locations are 100% wedding photographer dreams!

First up, we have The Muse at the Mill! Currently nestled in the heart of Downtown Winston Salem but in March 2020 they will be opening their new location in Bethania, NC. The venue will offer on-site bride & grooms suites, indoor ceremony & reception space with natural lighting, an outdoor patio with string lights, and so much more! My favorite feature of the new venue is definitely the onsite getting ready suites! It makes the morning so convenient for the bridal party! – Go follow along with the updates, here!

Next up, we have The Graham Mill! Before I gush at this new venue, I want to shout out to their current venue, Forest Hall at Chatham Mills! Currently a lovely industrial venue for weddings, love working there! Okay, so now about The Graham Mill, opening in April 2020 in the little town of Graham, NC. The Mill will be similar to Forest Hall but on a much larger scale and it will have it’s our personality! With exposed brick, natural brick, floor to ceiling windows, on-site bridal suites, what more could you ask for? As far as my favorite feature for the Mill, I will have to say the space! It is soo spacious with so many options for everything! I also love Harmony Wedding & Events – Aneesa is the genius’ behind all of this! Aneesa and her team are top notch wedding planners & you should make it a priority to book with them! They will not disappoint! – I am so excited for this new venue, follow along here!

Third, possibly the one I am most excited for is Carolina Grove! Carolina Grove is opening up in Summer 2020 with bookings available for September 2020! I kid you not, I have been seeing venues all over Instagram that have the features that Carolina Grove will offer but the other venues are across the country so I was so so excited when Carolina Grove popped up in my discover feed!!! Carolina Grove will be located in Hillsborough NC and will offer a relaxed luxury feeling for your wedding day! Talk about natural light!!! With all white interior, light flooring, floor to ceiling glass doors, both outdoor & indoor reception and ceremony spaces, a loft the oversees the main gather space, this venue is a catch. I haven’t even seen it yet – but there are already so many favorite parts – but I am most excited for the indoor ceremony site! Having your ceremony indoors can be tricky when it comes to lighting, etc but this venue will offer the same natural light as if it was outdoors! So so excited!!! – Do yourself a favor and check her out, here!

Last but certainly not least, we have Board and Batten! Board and Batten is already open and booking weddings!! So no need to wait to book here! They also offer gorgeous getting ready suites, all white interior to provide a beautiful indoor ceremony space with herringbone interior walls, fire places to keep warming the fall & winter months, outside area for cocktail hour, and in house catering options, there is no going wrong with B&B! – Check it out, here!

After writing all these descriptions for the Top 4 Wedding Venues, I have come to a conclusion that I have a wedding venue type. Is that a problem? No! Does that mean I won’t shoot at other venues, absolutely NOT! These venues all have their own personalities and differences that the others don’t have. I am so excited to see each of them thrive & serve their couples! I am also very excited to work with each of them in the future!
