I serve women owned small businesses here at Madalyn Yates Creative. Together we create a strategic plan to bring heart & soul to your brand through storytelling photos & beyond.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hanging out in my office, sipping on a latte at local coffee shops, baking something delicious & traveling the world.

I'M MADALYN!

So the big question is,

How Do I Know If My Business Needs Branding Photography?

Of course my reaction is, “Absolutely you do! Every business needs a portfolio of content that shows WHO & WHY you do what you do!” But sometimes that doesn’t work the magic for potential clients so, here is what I’d like to share with you …

Planning a branding photo session includes WAY more than just professional headshots! When I have a vision call with a potential client, we talk through way more than how to get the best professional headshot. We walk through their why, their ideal clients, and how these images can help them walk away with a boost of confidence AND a whole bunch of ideal clients running their way because they took the time to invest in themselves & now they can share photographs of the behind the scenes, the final products, and personal touches! If you want to know more about my perspective on headshots & having a pretty logo vs. branding photography, I’d love for you to check out a recent blog post, here!

But for now, I wanted to share these creative based mood boards so you can visualize what kind of photographs we can create during a branding session! The niches I’ve included are just the start! There are so many other industries that can benefit from branding photography.

Oh, I have such a huge appreciation and love for floral designers! Creating gorgeous bouquets to having a sense of peace in their creativity, it’s so inspiring! During a branding session, behind the scenes are so important so I believe this gives a great overall of what a floral designer could do!

Health & Fitness is something that I have grown to love! Can anyone relate? But it’s so much more than just photographs of you running or stretching! Health also has the aspect of meal planning, being creative in the kitchen, developing a healthy lifestyle! So if you’re in this niche, let’s cook together! Let’s capture every aspect of what health & fitness means to you! And yes, if making sure you can indulge in a cookie after dinner is part of it, let’s do it!

Ah, the niche that I will probably never dabble in! The oh so talented hair & make-up artists! Talk about a lot of patience, willingness to be critiqued, upset clients, phew! But again, it’s so much more than pretty photographs of hair & make-up- it’s the products you use that make you stand out, the way you style your studios to create a homey & welcoming space, the way you book clients!

And now for the niche that I hear this a lot from, “I just don’t know if I have enough physical product to include to make a branding session make sense for me.” That is a complete lie, my friend! You have way more content than you think you do because I know how hard you work and behind the scenes is MAJOR for your business so we want to make sure to capture your client experience from start to finish! Also when you have a team! we will make sure to include them as well!

And lastly, a stationery designer! My very first branding photography experience was with stationary expert, Laney Schenk with Design by Laney, and let me tell you, I feel like we could have photographed for days! Stationary designers have content for days and it’s so much fun!

Well, I hope this was a helpful blog post for you! If you’re in the mood now to plan a branding experience, I’d love to chat with you over a cup of virtual coffee or a glass of wine! Head here to inquire!
