I serve women owned small businesses here at Madalyn Yates Creative. Together we create a strategic plan to bring heart & soul to your brand through storytelling photos & beyond.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hanging out in my office, sipping on a latte at local coffee shops, baking something delicious & traveling the world.

I'M MADALYN!

I hope A Ballerina Series inspires, encourages, & showcases that you are worthy. You are capable. You are a work of art. Never stop chasing your dreams; even if your dream doesn’t physically happen to you, don’t forget you can still be a part of it if you get creative & dream bigger.

The emotion, beauty, and grace of dance gives me a feeling nothing else could.

When I was a little girl, like most of my friends, I wanted to be a ballerina. In middle school, I had the chance to dance with a local company but about a year into it, my mom and I moved to another city which then made the drive too long and schedules just weren’t aligning to mention the financial responsibilities.

Fast forward to now, I continue to be inspired by any dance movie (for sure any of the Step Up movies!) or performance (especially The Nutcracker!) and I really needed to get creative and work with some incredible, oh so talented & did I mention beautiful dancers from a local studio! I had connections with a few people so I reached out, asked my favorite venue and hair & make-up duo & I am excited to share with you, A Ballerina Series!

When thinking about how I was going to share The Ballerina Series, I wanted to make sure to include the people who were apart of it beyond just being in the photos; after all, it is a collaboration between two different creative arts. So, I asked each dancer to share some thoughts with me …

I dance to let go of any stress, worries, or emotions I have. It has led me to some girls that have been with me through EVERYTHING. Because of dance, I have made lifelong friendships that I cherish immensely.  It’s truly amazing how much dance has helped me with my anxiety.

I love being a dancer because I love how I can find new ways to move my body. I’m so thankful that I can listen to music and my body will start moving around and I can just let go of all the stress and tension. I love getting out of my comfort zone and just moving around and turning it into something amazing!

My biggest inspiration for dance is my teammates. They inspire me to work harder and to stay positive through each and every dance class. Watching them succeed in the dance world, makes me want to succeed as well. They are always there for me and never fail to encourage me to keep on pursuing my dance dreams.

This creative project really allowed me to try something new & that felt so good. I highly encourage you to step out of your comfort zones from time to time to do something for yourself. Thank you for stopping by! xoxo
