Hey there, friends! I know you’ve been enjoying the client features, but this week on the blog I am going to cover a popular topic; How to: New Website Images with your most recent branding photos! As a branding photographer, I get asked a lot about how to use the branding photos after your session so this is a great first step, so let’s dive in!
I am going to start with one of the most obvious spots where you can use your branding photos; the About Me or Meet the Team page! Having a photograph of who runs the business is so important for your audience to see; it helps with the like, know, trust factors! I do want to say, a basic business headshot is not the way to go! In order to bring that personality and connection to your audience, you’ll need a candid headshot that includes something special to you, lots of laughter & of course a beautiful smile! Here is an example of amazing an About Me page from a past branding client, Tierney with Tierney Riggs Photography; she actually has a carousel of images, head to her website to check it out!
If you’ve been around for a while, you know email marketing is the way to build an audience and educate them consistently! By using a captivating photograph from your branding session you’ll be able to catch the viewer’s attention and gain their trust which leads them to sign up for your newsletter! As far as what kind of photo, you don’t have to use a photo of your face! A huge part of a branding session is getting photographs that not only have you as the subject but photos that tell your story so not all of them have to include you! Here are a few examples:
A page that I think goes unaddressed is your service or the overall experience page. Behind the scenes photos from your branding session are the perfect type of photo for this page! Each step of your process can be told through photographs; the inquiry, the consult, the actual product or service, and then the transformation or end result! I love how Taylor with Taylor Gray Photography uses her photos in the FAQ section of her website!
Another page that I think is pretty obvious is your contact page or a page of how the view can get in touch with you and or your team! Having a friendly, welcoming photo of you or a team photo is a great way to say “thanks for coming by and we look forward to talking with you!” Here is a contact page I adore and instantly feel connected to from my client Ida with Hygge Design Co – she also designed my website as well as a few other examples show here!
Last but very not least, having your branding photos on your home page makes a huge difference!!! This is a great place to put a mix of your own photos (if your a photographer or a creative who takes photos for your business!) and your personalized branding photographs from your branding session!
Well, that was fun! I loved switching gears and sharing a few branding tips with you! If you’ve read this and you’re ready to book your branding experience so you can update your website images, I’d love to chat with you! Click here to book your coffee chat! xoxo, Madalyn
