Pen+Pillar was founded out of the belief that beautiful products can do good in the world. Everything we make is designed to be useful, beautiful, ethical, and sustainable.
– Pen & Pillar
I actually came across Pen & Pillar after I had just finished a branding session with another local artist, The Flywheel Press. Kenzie’s shop was just down the road so I went over to Pen & Pillar and was immediately attracted to the products they created. The shop they’ve come to build and curate has something for everyone. Especially those who love to put pen to paper!
Later on that year, I hosted a few friends for Friendsgiving. One of those friends was Kenzie and I told her to bring a friend and she brought Greta! Well, it turns out that Greta had just started working for Pen & Pillar as their marketing & social media director!
A few months later, Greta reached out to see about branding photography for P&P and I am so thankful she did. Stationery that sustains is what they strive for and it definitely shows through the talent, passion, and care they have for their brand.
Working with Greta to plan this shoot was so much fun! They wanted pretty much an overview of what goes on behind the scenes and that is what we shot! From the start to the finish of a handmade product, to over photos of the shop and lifestyle headshots for each hand that is a part of the beautiful brand.
From this session, I’ve had the honor to connect with a few other High Point small businesses including High Point Discovered (more on that later!) and that makes my heart so happy. If you’re in the Triad, definitely pop in Pen & Pillar next time you’re in town!
I don’t say this enough but I really am thankful for each brand that comes to me to help them bring life into their brands through storytelling photographs. If you’re ready to connect deeper with your audience, let’s sit down and have a coffee. I’d love to meet you! xoxo, Madalyn
