It’s not often that I work with creatives that are so confident in what they are passionate about especially when it comes to a beauty & fashion brand. Though, when I met the face behind The Beauty & The Brightside, I was immediately inspired.
My focus is to find the beauty in life – whether it’s something as simple as a gorgeous shade of lipstick or something as profound as watching my daughter live life to the fullest with hearing loss. I’m here to tell my story and I want to hear all about yours!
Allison Collin – The Beauty and the Brightside
How it all began …
When Allison reached out to me, one of the first thing she said was “I’m reaching out to you because when I started building my vision board for my upcoming blog launch, your photo was one of the first photos I pinned!” I have to say, I am always encouraged when people see my photos and use them as inspiration!
Talking to Allison about her blog and then hearing her passion for the topics made me so excited to work with her. She had a fresh perspective on the industry and had so many great ideas but was also open to collaboration for her fashion, beauty & motherhood blog.
Enough about how we started working together, let me tell you about The Beauty & The Brightside! The Beauty & The Brightside is a blog where Allison can talk about all things beauty, fashion, motherhood and entrepreneurship. She discovered her love for all the beauty when she had her daughter, Parker and now she wants to inspire other women through these few topics.
When we started planning for this experience, I asked Allison what topics she wanted to start off capturing and we were able to bring them all to life! From sharing her favorite beauty products to celebrating life’s little joys with her daughter, these images are some of my favorite ones to date!
Being that Allison has a strong passion for fashion, I made sure to have her feature a few of her favorite brands when she was thinking about the outfits she would wear for her shoot. We included brands like Hill House, Lily Pulitzer and Dolly Parton! I believe one of the biggest keys to running a successful blog is to feature brands you love! By doing so, you never know what partnerships may come of it!
