READ WHAT'S NEW

I serve women owned small businesses here at Madalyn Yates Creative. Together we create a strategic plan to bring heart & soul to your brand through storytelling photos & beyond.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hanging out in my office, sipping on a latte at local coffee shops, baking something delicious & traveling the world.

I'M MADALYN!

A lot of my clients don’t have a great grasp on the importance of brand photography. Well, that is before they inquire and we chat all about it. Though, when I work with a social strategist, they get it. I’m excited to share this recent session with you!

Social Media Strategist Brand Photoshoot

Okay, it’s time to introduce Addy Culp to you! Founder of Culp Creative – a social media management agency based in Winston Salem, NC. Addy strives to help you leverage the power of social media to drive brand growth & engagement through powerful storytelling!

Our brands go hand in hand and I am so happy that Addy reached out to work together on her brand photography. Addy creates content for her clients as well so she gets the importance of showing up in and through your brand.

A Set of Images for a Brand Launch

When planning a brand launch or a brand re-launch, having updated on-brand imagery is essential! Whether your launching a brand new business or giving an extra special touch to a business you’ve “secretly” done for a year – I can not preach enough how much easier your life will be with on-brand imagery!

A few things I notice when you have photos of YOU weaved throughout your marketing:

  • Trust. Your audience builds a deeper trust with you when they actually see you before working with you.
  • Recognition. When you share more on-brand imagery, people will start noticing you when you’d least expect them to because you’re training their eye to know you and what you like and how you act.
  • Fun! It’s such a rewarding process to be able to build a brand especially when it is personal. People deserve to hear your heart and learn to like you for you and not just for the product or service you provide.

Get the Variety – Bring multiple outfits!

When you have a need for a brand photo refresh, I can’t recommend enough to bring multiple outfits — even if we don’t get to them all, at least you have options! You can really never know if your original thought matches the space until you get in the space.

I also suggest bringing items that can help you define different seasons! Longevity is something that I strive for when I plan and execute a brand shoot, so bringing sweaters or something to bring you into a different season is essential!

One more thing with outfits, you should know I LOVE when your outfits have movement! It helps curate a feeling — it’s hard to describe but just trust me!

Use Different Locations

To get the most variety of your branding photoshoot, is to utilize all the backdrops you can find! Not only does it give variety to change your outfits, but it also helps to not take all your photos in one room or with one backdrop. For Addy’s shoot, we contacted a local business, Theodores in Reynolda Village! There decor is very on brand for Culp Creative so that was the number one reason and then the diverse backdrops won our hearts! Thanks for hosting us!

Also for a social strategist brand photoshoot the challenge of not using a laptop or a phone in every image is a real deal! So, by having different ways for a client to pose or utilize their props or helpful!
