Today, I am going to walk you through how Steph and I went from planned to executed during her most recent brand photo experience! Before I begin, I want to introduce you to the SEO Strategist and Web Designer, Steph with Southern Creative Co!
After going full circle from marketing to teaching, Steph found her perfect fit of creativity & strategy as a website designer, developer, and SEO strategist. Steph and her team helps your business get found on online! They offer a variety of services to reach you right where you’re at. If you’re in the market for any of these services, I highly recommend reaching out to Steph!
When Steph reached out, she started out by saying she wanted a new approach to her marketing content – she wanted to provide her audience with imagery that merges her personal brand and her current offerings as a SEO strategist and web designer. She also hadn’t had updated photos of her in a couple years and as you know, I love to encourage people to refresh their photos at least once a year if not more.
So, after her initial coffee chat, I sent over my Branding Questionnaire! As soon as Steph sent it over it was time for us to start planning! The branding questionnaire dives deep about your mindset, your communication styles, and overall goals of the photo session. I build out a branding itinerary that includes a detailed timeline, a shot list, and a visual of inspiration or ideas that the client desires for their brand.
As you can see, we had a lot of ideas to execute and I want to share why and a little more about a few of them. Because, well some of them aren’t as obvious as the others! Steph is a neutral gal through and through so we found a location that reflects that. In addition to it being the perfect color scheme it was also a home that provided us with a wonderful variety of backdrops; cozy living room, modern looking office space, and spotless kitchen – it had it all!
One of my goals when working with clients is to have them pick three to four focuses or what we call storylines. By picking three to four, that allows a lot of opportunity to connect with their audiences. Steph chose working in the office along with analogies that she uses frequently + cozying up reading for pleasure, fun, personal time + bubbly, personal branding photos + stock imagery!
I could talk all day about our time together but at the end of the day, we wanted to create a gallery of images that Steph can use on her instagram, website, email marketing and whatever future projects she may embark on! When I work with my clients, I make it clear that this is a collaboration as much as it is a service. We work together to execute exactly what they want!
