Leah is the jack of all content creation & copywriting trades! She is a writer, reader & marketer with a bubbly personality and a sense of humor that you can’t help but giggle when she says something! Leah reached out to me looking for a gallery of images that could showcase her personality while sharing what she does and the heart behind her business and with that knowledge, I knew she was in the right place! Alright, let’s dive in and talk about each part of the planning process for this copywriter branding experience with Leah!
Being that Leah didn’t want to necessarily show off her in-home office (read makeshift dining room table in the loft level of her a-frame house) we decided to bring her office to one of my go-to locations, The Graham Mill! This location worked perfectly for the in-office photos, some fun personality photos, and then our flat-lays! So for this chapter in Leah’s branding experience, I had her choose 3 outfits! One of the first things Leah said to me on our call was that she’s isn’t a fancy wardrobe type gal and with that I was, no worries! Let’s find outfits that are down-to-earth but still fun – no reason to wear something that doesn’t feel good to you.
We’re all about staying local and showcasing hidden gems so when Leah asked if we could include The Workshop NC, I got so excited! The Workshop is a workshop, go figure! There is an empty space with all white walls and lovely natural window light and it worked great for a few more at-work photos! They also have murals so that was fun! Since this space was very clean and blank, Leah chose to wear a bright and patterned outfit and it worked out sooo perfectly! I just adore her skirt!
I love tying in your family (furry friends included!) so we finished the day at Leah & Kevin’s totally adorable a-frame house with their two pups! Such a fun way to conclude the day! For these photos, I told Leah & Kevin to dress casually; basically what they’d wear on a daily basis with a little “umph” in it so Leah chose a cozy sweater and jeans, and then Kevin wore a short-sleeved button-up and some khaki shorts – it was perfect! Not to mention their cute pups, Gunner & Griffin!
As you can see for this content creator & copywriter branding experience we went heavy on the locations & outfits but I don’t want to play it softly on the props that Leah chose to bring for her session! As a copywriter, Leah has minimal tools for the job but to have a few more we brought in props to tell her story & again reflect her personality! Pencils for writing, a letter board to communicate messages, knitting needles because she loves to knit, and then a few tchotchkes for her desk! My favorite prop was the disco ball that you see above! SO FUN!
