I serve women owned small businesses here at Madalyn Yates Creative. Together we create a strategic plan to bring heart & soul to your brand through storytelling photos & beyond.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hanging out in my office, sipping on a latte at local coffee shops, baking something delicious & traveling the world.

I'M MADALYN!

When you’re the face of your brand, your photos need to do more than just look good—they need to feel like you. That’s exactly what we set out to capture in Brooke’s brand session for her business, Socials with Brooke—a women-owned social media management company based in Charlotte, NC.

Brooke needed images that showed her personality, confidence, and behind-the-scenes moments of what it’s really like to run a content-driven business. This session took place at The Frame CLT, a beautifully curated natural light studio (now closed, but fondly remembered!), and it was the perfect backdrop to bring Brooke’s brand to life.

Let’s take a deeper look at the brand session with Brooke!

Meet Brooke!

Brooke is the creative mind and strategy queen behind Socials with Brooke. She helps small business owners connect, convert, and show up confidently on social media. She does this through thoughtful content planning and creative storytelling. She’s fun, approachable, and knows how to make marketing feel doable.

When we planned her session, Brooke said something that stuck with me:
“These new photos will finally let me turn the page, start this chapter fully, and have something of my own.”
That’s what brand photography is really about—supporting women as they step into their next chapter.

The Vision Behind the Session:

Together, we curated a session that balanced personality-driven portraits with purposeful imagery of her at work. Brooke brought her laptop (a staple in her daily work), custom-printed marketing materials, and—of course—coffee, a must-have in her world.

We focused on three key types of imagery:

  • Headshots that felt warm and confident
  • Working shots that show her in action—planning, strategizing, and creating
  • Lifestyle portraits with real personality (a little sass, a little smile, a whole lot of Brooke)

What Made it Special:

This session was a mix of strategic and fun. We played music, chatted about business ideas, and made sure Brooke felt completely herself in front of the camera. The energy was collaborative and calm—just the way we like it.

By the end of the shoot, Brooke had a full library of photos she could pull from for her website, social media, and email marketing. She’s already been putting them to use in ways that help her audience connect with her on a deeper level—and it shows.

Thinking About Your Own Brand Session?

This is your sign. Whether you’re a social media strategist like Brooke or a business owner of any kind, the way you show up online matters. And brand photography doesn’t have to feel awkward or overwhelming—we’ll make it fun, intentional, and totally you.
